Vyve Broadband continued consolidating systems in Oklahoma with the completion of its acquisition of Alliance Communications Network’s Buford Media system in Pryor.

With the purchase, Vyve adds another 5,000 homes into its footprint, bring its total number of homes passed to 315,000.

Vyve was formed in 2013 with a combination of networks previously owned by Allegiance Communications and James Cable.

Vyve said it will upgrade the system in Pryor to deliver broadband speeds up to 105 Mbps, transition to all-digital HD video, along with VoIP. The company has a TV everywhere service, and its guide is from TiVo.

“Vyve is pleased to announce this acquisition. It complements our existing operations in eastern Oklahoma and we look forward to bringing real broadband speeds, as well as cutting-edge video and phone products, to Pryor and the surrounding areas,” said Jeffrey DeMond, chief executive officer of Vyve Broadband.
